My Favorite Movie
Pros: Everything, especially Sigourney Weaver
Cons: Not a thing.
This is my favorite movie of all time. A serious action flick, but one that is believable because instead of some dumb man blowing away countless people with no real justificatin or motivation as to why we get a woman who is motivated to extreme acts of bravery because of her mothering instinct. Ah, who cares for any intellectual bases for this movies's excellence; it just plain rocks.

Cons: Uses 1.85 aspect ratio, not (superior) 2.35 ratio
One would think, with all the time, effort and expense involved in transferring this Sci-Fi masterpiece to DVD, James Cameron would have insisted on using the true-theater 2.35:1 widescreen aspect ratio, but instead, they used the outdated 1.85:1 aspect ratio which is only a minor improvement upon the cropped full-screen version.

There was only bimbo actresses and drama queens untill this movie came out. The final fight scene between Ripley and the Queen should be in every "Women in film" class taught. It was by far the best catfight ever.
The features really pointed out how James Cameron added so much to the series. I use to think he was a hack, but he has influenced even flims he wasn't directing. Examples included the 'mandibles' for "Predator" creature and being original director for Spiderman movie he basically recreated and rewrote Spiderman for film. As for best Aliens movie, they're all good. Yet this movie was the scariest as well as having one of the greatest fight scenes of all time.Was this review helpful? Yes - Nothe best Alien movie ever
i seen this movie so many times it gets better each time. i love the speshal afecs. they are the best i ever seen. the aliens look real. the hive was the coolist. the gus were even coller. i wish they would come out with a movie just like Aliens if u rent one movie or by a movie this year make it Aliens

I thought this was an excellent movie. It kept me on my toes since the beginning. There was only a slight confusion since I never saw the original Alien but that soon didn't matter once the plot evolved. I loved the special effects and the action was incredible. I give it 5 stars.

When aliens take over a mining colony...Sigourney Weaver dons her Rambo gear to send them back where they belong. Great special effects and story. Sigourney performance as Ripley was the catalist for future popular heroines (Xena, Buffy the Vampire, etc..)Great for any DVD collection.

While the first film was sci-fi horror at its best, James Cameron followed it up with a non-stop action bloodfest of a sequel. Truly a must-have in your DVD collection.

My favourite of the series by two hairs over #1. Both films rock! Love the director's cut on this one which punches up the film's suspense and intensity(impossible as that sounds). Get that if you can find it, well worth it. Superbly directed and acted with brooding intense scenery. Great action film! Just wish Paul Reiser did more dramatic roles, like ex-comic Tom Hanks, he's superb at drama.

This movie fell into a comercial kind of story. It tended to follow a very predictable path which, in a way, betrayed the whole idea of the aliens saga. This is the poorest among the 4 aliens movies and, in my opinion, the first (the best suspense i have ever seen) and the third (this movie is amazing...the director, the same who did seven, is indeed an artist) are much more interesting to follow. I guess, this movie is the perfect american movie...and i dont like perfection...i like it creative and outragious!

This, in my opinion has to be the greatest movie of all times. I have read the book over 100 times (really, I could almost quote it, and you should see how many of the pages have fallen out from wear, I'm ashamed of myself really I am, lol), I have watched the movie more times than I care to count. It never gets old, the cast is excellent!! It rocks!!

Best Sci-fi movie of all time other than StarWars, you don't believe me? check out the quotes. Perhaps one of the most quoted films with lines and sound effects. Definetely in StarCraft and in many user mods in Quake, UT, etc.

This is simply my favorite movie of all-time in sci-fi! This really kicked ass! I'm serious.. Don't believe me?? Okay, go see it for yourself on either DVD or VHS but I strongly recommend the DVD cuz of its amazing quality and sounds and visuals. Oh, my...
My wife is even afraid to watch this again after the 1st time! (LOL) But simply put, this movie was marvelous and I loved it! I know I talk a lot here but so what! This movie rocks!!!! This is the best of the 4 in the series. It has everything. Monsters, warriors, heroin, comedy, and kick_a** action. You couldn't ask for a better effort from James Cameron. His Ripley simply put, "Rocks on all levels."
