Synopsis: Purple Hearts (1984)

A Navy surgeon and a nurse fall in love while serving in Vietnam during the war. Their affection for one another provides a striking contrast to the violence of warfare.

    A good war movie combined with romance..

    This is one of my favorite all-time movies and had to buy it the first time I found it was available. I'm probably partial to it because my wife and I both served stateside in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Just as the co-stars in this mo...vie do, we met on active duty, and so we could identify with their characters. I think it is a "must see" for military couples. The movie has a surprise, emotional ending which still brings tears to my eyes. Read more Less
