    PURPLE RAIN IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES THAT WAS EVER DONE BY PRINCE....WITH THIS BEING HIS DEBUT IN THE MOVIE BUSINESS, PRINCE PROTRAY SUCH A GREAT CHARACTER, SUCH EMOTIONAL MOMENTS THAT PRINCE HAS SHOWN IN THE MOVIE...I GREW UP ON THIS MOVIE, I WAS 4...     There is no doubt that this one of the greateset movies of all time.The songs kick it like Kung Fu fighters. If you havn't seen this you're missing a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!

    When this film was released I was in school and Prince was commonly referred to as a "faggot" The strange thing is that since his youth this ugly little man has surrounded himself with nothing but the finest looking women on the planet. This film tak...es artistic licence on the early life of Prince, a troubled youth who just wants to be beautiful but his dysfunctional father, his ego and that annoying Morris Day seem to get in the way. The kid makes good and we all sing along. By the way, all those guys who put down Prince now have ordinary day jobs and are as boring as bat piss. Read more Less

    This is one of the best musicals of 1984 Prince deserves five stars from every reviewer and after you saw this flick you certainly haven't seen nuttin yet!!!!!!!!

    This is the only movie I've seen where the people were dancing in the theatre. I guess it was 14 years ago, but I really remember that night at the movies. Upbeat with a twist!!!
