    AMAZING TWO !!!

    Okay, I've got a problem. I have two Cds that are my favourite - Sugar a n d Lemon Parade by Tonic. Man these guys rock, but not like any other. Their music makes you happy, sad, mad and just downright glad that they're making music. How many artists... put out 2 CDs in a row on which every song is awesome - none that I know of.     Nothing artificial added in "Sugar". Honesty still comes through as this band's basic attribute. The songs don't have that "market-tested" jingle rhythm; they don't pander, they just deliver. Sugar is exactly what I'd hoped for: a laudable follow-u...p to "Lemon Parade" that preserves the band's unique sound and voice, without seeming like a watered down version of "Parade". As with Parade, I liked half the songs immediately, and came to appreciate the rest after half a dozen plays. Read more Less

    Best Tonic Album indeed

    Hey now...I was a fan of Tonic's back in the "Lemon Parade" days. I dug only two songs of theirs, "If U Could Only See" and "Open Up Your Eyes". How I was pushed into buying this album is an interesting story. I recently became an M2M fan of all t...hings, and the lead singer, Marion Raven, recommended to me this album since we both share similar music tastes. I had to see what was all the fuss.Suffice it to say, I'm glad I bought it. Now this is my fave Tonic album for pure quantity of fave songs.I enjoyed "You Wanted More", "Knocking Walls Down", "Mean To Me", "Sugar", "Jump Jimmy [Stronger than Mine]", "Waiting for the Light To Change", "Waltz with Me", "Sunflower" all in a few listens.Top-notch. If I may say so this album is a lot more melodic and rhythmically romantically swayed. It's less guitar heavy as the previous but still packs a punch.I think a lot of people who sorta like Alternative music can dig this album. It's easy to get into as I found out. I would like to thank Marion Raven, for recommending this to me. I normally would have pegged these guys as a One album wonder but boy I was wrong fortunately. Tonic is here to stay! Read more Less

    Sugar is one of the albums that I can look back on and be, "Yeap, I got a good one.." This band again strikes with another great bunch of songs to hear, don't miss out, grab their cd now. =)

    Sentimental songs on this CD are great, sometimes I play them at nighttime to dream on, well written lyrics and good music, definitely something worthy to get.

    This album makes me cry tears of joy!

    This album is one of the best that I have ever bought. The songs on it are just so deep that they pull you into them. "Mean To Me," is one of my favorites, but, "Sugar," Definatelt deserves a listen. The songs are so well written that they make me c...ry sometimes when I listen to them.
