    Pros: NO PROSTITUTES BACK THEN

    Cons: NO WOMEN PROSTITUTES NOW

My Dad used to live in a house on Franklin ave. in Hollywood, ca., just across the street from the El; Nino apts. which is in one of the beginning frames of Sunset Blvd. The first is reserved for Bill Holden, Narrating the cause of his own demise as... he floats face down in a swimming pool, the camera pointing up from the bottom showing Holdens death face. For some reason, this is my all time favorite classic movie. Its not that there are many cinima firsts in the film (mostly camera angles & such) nor is it the ageless dialoge, such as "Im ready for my close-up now, Mr. DeMille". No, its none of those. As a matter of fact, I dont know what it is other than my fasination with early Hollywood (which you will see a lot of in the film). This movie is one of the greats. Its a must see for every movie fanatic...Guaranteed. Read more Less
