    Here we go again!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 30, 2002

I've reached the point where I'm truly embarrassed for the dudes in Kiss. A year after their boxed set release we have yet another Kiss compilation album crammed down out throats? Let's see, we've got Double Platinum, Smashes, Greatest Kiss, a 5 CD... boxed set, and now this? GIVE US A BREAK!!!! Read more Less

    Why Anthoner Greatest Hits?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 29, 2002

First off, Most of these songs are already released on Double Platinum; Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits; Greatest Kiss; You wanted the best, You got the best; and Killers compilation albums. Second, there are couple of songs unheard such as "Got to Choos...e" and "God gave us Rock N' Roll to you II" which is OK for a new greatest hits. "New York Groove" a song written by Ace Frehley which appeared on his first solo album which is OK since the compilation "The Best of the Solo Albums is out of print. War Machine is the best Kiss anthem besides Rock N' Roll All Nite which should of been on here. Forever, a song from the album "Hot in the Shade which is OK since it was never released on any greatest hits compilation. Third, I think it should of been better by releasing songs that never made it to any greatest hits compilation since most of the same old material are already on other compilation which is pointless. I think Kiss needs to do something better otherwise some people thinks this album make them look like sell out. In my opinion, Kiss are not sell-outs at all. They are way different than Metallica. Metallica are lowlife sellouts. I already have 2 Kiss compilations: Double Platinum and Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits. There's no need to buy another Kiss compilation with the same old material. I think Kiss needs to start releasing another decent album that really kicks ass just like Revenge and Creatures of the Night besides releasing compilation containing the same old material. Otherwise it's great. Read more Less

Still one of the greatest Rock Bands

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 4, 2002

They were, and still are, a great rock n roll band. If you don't like their merchandising, don't buy it. If you don't like Gene, don't buy his stuff. If you don't like their music, focus on what you do like. I don't waste my time posting about how mu...ch I don't like Band X in webspace devoted to them.... Read more Less

It's true KISS had a Farewell tour a couple years ago, it's also true that they have had quite a few greatest hits CDs. But, each one of them are a unique collection all of it's own. In my opinion, this one rates up there with Double Platinum and Ki...llers. All the songs are well planned out for this cd. If you listen to it closely it actually tells the history of KISS, ending it out with the remake of the Petra classic, God Gave Rock n Roll to You II. You may also notice that this CD is just a Greatest Hits CD of the KISS box set. Read more Less

It rocks the way KISS should!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 2, 2002

This is an excellent sampler for the uninitiated, and a rockin' best-of album for any Kiss fan. There's room for another 1 or 2 songs, and it's too bad HEAVEN'S ON FIRE, WAR MACHINE, DOMINO, and PSYCHO CIRCUS aren't on it, but, just the same, this ba...by rocks. It sounds like KISS in high gear. I've been a fan since 1979 and have all the albums, but this intense little package is still worth buying. :) If you're not a fan and are curious about the band, it'll give you a real good taste. :) Read more Less

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 1, 2002

I own this album but there's just entirely too many Kiss Greatest Hits albums. "Double Platnium", "Kiss My Ass", Smashes Thrashes Hits", "Greatest Kiss"," You Wanted The Best..." and now "The Very Best" if you are retired stay retired is all I'm sayi...ng unless you are coming with new material no more hits albums.I do admit that there is more hits on this album since " Double Platnium" Read more Less
